Perry And The Travellers - Snake Biography

Biography

I'm Snake, and I play what ever they tell me to play.

I started taking piano lessons when I was 6 years old, when I was 27 years old I learned how to play.

I’ve been around music all my life and my whole family play music. My dad play’s piano, fiddle and some guitar. Mom also plays the fiddle and key-harp. They recently started playing trumpet and flute. But enough of them, back to me.

I kept on playing the piano and tried the fiddle for a while, but did’t think it was that cool. It didn’t fit in to the Michael Jackson ”Dangerous sound” that I was listening to at the time.

I started playing keyboard in a band at 11 and did so until I was almost 16 years old. After this I didn’t touch a keyboard or piano until I started playing with the travellers in early 2008. I started to play guitar instead and I found the treasure of southern tunes from Skynyrd, Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band , etc. This is still were I find my inspiration.
After this I started playing slide guitar, mandolin and since I’ve been playi’n with the guys I’ve also started playing the harmonica and lap steel, and some how I ended up with a fiddle again but this time I think I can make it sound cool…
