Personal biography of Mr Flynth
Ever since i was born music has been a big part of my life. My father began playing in bands when he was a teenager in the sixties. Therefore we listened a lot to music from that era when i grew up. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Byrds, Joe Cocker, to name a few.
I started playing guitar when I was about 8 years old, but it wasn´t until I started my first band at age thirteen that I really got serious with my music. Me and some friends from school, David from Perry and the travellers among others, started a punk/hardcoreband. At this point we played mostly local gigs.
I studied at a music program in the gymnasium (the swedish version of high school) playing lots of jazz, funk and that kind of music. It didn´t really hit me that hard and i found out that I was, and still am, a rock and roll guy. At age 17 a joined a hard rock band called Convinced with some older guys and went on my first tour. We played 13 shows in England, and from that point touring is the best thing I know. We did yet another European tour with Convinced, and I also played some shows outside of sweden with other bands.
At age 20 I moved to Swedens second biggest city, Gothenburg, and joined a band called When we fall. We released two CD´s, and was on a couple of compilation-CD´s with other bands. The band reached some kind of success in the punk community and played over a hundred shows all over Europe. During this time I was also a stand in member in a couple of other bands and did a lot of gigs over the years. I´ve done gigs in 13 different countries, from tiny clubs to huge festivals, but never made to the United States so therefore i really hope that Perry and the travellers will be my first band to come abroad.
